East Texas Baptist University announces new NHCLC Christian Servant Leadership Scholarship
East Texas Baptist University and National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC) are proud to announce the ETBU NHCLC Christian Servant Leader Scholarship for the 2017-2018 academic year.
The ETBU scholarship provides 50 percent of tuition and 100 percent housing for four academic years and will be awarded to two students, one male and one female. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be an active member of a congregation affiliated with the NHCLC.
ETBU's University Chaplain and Vice President of Spiritual Development Dr. Scott Bryant shared the news of the partnership at the NHCLC Education Summit Oct. 17 on Baylor University's campus.
Executive Director of the Faith and Education Coalition for the NHCLC, Andrea Ramirez, shared her optimism about the impact the scholarship will have on the future of ETBU and members of the conference. "We are thrilled by the educational partnership between ETBU and the NHCLC. We know that as Hispanic students walk into their God-given callings, the ultimate impact will be felt for generations to come."
According to Dr. Bryant, both the NHCLC and ETBU aim "to fulfill the commands of Christ, to share the gospel, and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves, so it is a natural partnership."
